The project consisted of 14 No. commercial kitchens, offices and washroom facilities within an existing building, which was previously used as the army pay centre.

The 8 month programme was put under extreme pressure due to unforeseen structural problems with the existing roof.

The contract was completed on time, on budget and was awarded a Certificate of Commendation by the Chief Executive of Defence Estates.

“The award recognizes the significant achievement in the relocation of DFSS to Bray House. A project with many challenges since it was agreed in summer 2007 to focus on Worthy Down, all of which have been successfully overcome by the team using positive innovation and add value initiatives.

Through impressive teamwork between Ops South projects staff, our Army customer, Regional Prime Contractor (PriDE) and an array of contractors this project has demonstrated how effective collaborative working can pay dividends”
